Mabel was always in the center of everything family, "the hub of her family tree," mother to her loving children, and a surrogate to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a throwback to an era when mothers stayed home to take care of their children. She always thought she had to work harder than everyone else, and she always did exactly that, loving every minute. Combining an insatiable curiosity with a take charge personality, she would race through life bringing happiness and smiles to everyone she met. She was affectionately referred to as "Doctor Mabel" by those that loved her. She treated everyone with total love. Mabels finally wish was honored when the entire family gathered around her to see her off to heaven to meet all those that had traveled ahead to prepare for her arrival. A private burial will be held on January 8, 2008 in Willwood Burial Park. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. To
