Mabel Caroline Hackbert

Mabel Caroline Hackbert, 86, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2017, surrounded by her family at Serenity Hospice and Home. Born January 7, 1931 in Rockford, the daughter of William and Caroline Lockhart Walker. Graduated from Rockford East High School. Retired from Clarcor in 1993 after 31 years of service.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Hackbert of Rockford and Barbara (Michael) Blosser of Winnebago; sister, Margaret Hegeler of Hawthorne, CA; brother, Walter (Peggy) Walker of Tupelo, MS, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, brothers, Wesley and William Walker and sisters, Florence Thompson and Ethel Kuntzelman.
Funeral service at noon on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev. Deanna Mede officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
