Lyndle R. King, 89, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 in Rosewood. He was born February 9, 1921 in Zanesville, IL, the son of Walter and Prudence King. He lived most of his life in Rockford, coming here from Waggoner, IL. He married Helen Green on June 14, 1952. He worked for Rockford Products for many years, retiring in 1985. He was in the US Navy during WWII. Member of Waggoner 1 st Christian Church. Life member of American Legion Post 1207. Survivors include his stepson, Roger (Imogene) Sjostrom; stepdaughter, JoAnne (Donald) White; step-grandchildren, Diana M. White Claessens, Daniel (Marcy) White, Pamela (Sjostrom) Raver and Gregory Sjostrom; great-grandchildren, Meghan Raver, Alexander Raver, Andrew Raver, Hannah Raver, Kirsten Raver, Joanna Claessens, Mark White, Caleb Sjostrom and Logan Sjostrom; sister, Hazel Emery and brother, Irvene (Patricia) King. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Helen and brother, Glenn.Funeral Service will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, December 1, 2010 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel with a visitation from 10:00am until service time. Burial in Willwood Cemetery.
