Lucille R. Westbrook

Lucille R. (Blair) Westbrook, 90 of Rockford, Illinois passed away Saturday December 14, 2024 after a long illness in the care of family and hospice. Born January 12, 1934. The daughter of Donald and Clara (Cook) Blair. Graduated from Monroe Center High School and SwedishAmerican School of Nursing. Married George L. Westbrook on January 15, 1955. She was a pediatric nurse and manager employed at SwedishAmerican Hospital for over 27 years. Lucy had a great joy for life, living it to the fullest at every turn. She had a great love for her family and had a life long dedication to the betterment of Child Health and Development. Survivors include: Children, Gerald (Patricia) Westbrook, Mae Klossner, Ruth (Milton) Hearyman, George (Lisa) Westbrook, Bonnie (Rick) Larkins, fourteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Lucy was predeceased by parents, husband George, and brothers, William, Maynard and David Blair.

Visitation at 10 am with funeral following at 11 am at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 South Mulford Road. Pastor Mike Blair of Iowa, and Pastor Jared Katke of Rock Church officiating. Interment in New Milford Cemetery.
