Lucille A. Wesseln, of Rockford, passed away on Oct 28, 2013 at her home. She was born July 21, 1938 in Waukon, Iowa; the daughter of Frank and Monica (Hogan) Wagner. Married Robert Wesseln on September 30, 1961 in Lansing, Iowa. Robert died July 13, 1993. She was a homemaker most of her life. She had worked at Bergners at the Cherryvale mall. Member of St. Edwards Catholic church where she was involved with Right to Life for the unborn. Survived by five sons, Gerald (Linda) of Denver, Colorado, Edward (Patti), Thomas (Theresa), Michael (Gina) of Rockford, Daniel (Lauren) of Evergreen, Colorado, one daughter Ann (John) Friede of Walcott, Iowa, 18 grandchildren, sisters Bernice Walleser, Delores Walleser, brothers Kenneth Wagner, Clair Wagner and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, parents, brothers Cletus Wagner, Melvin Wagner, and sisters Leota Pfiffner, Mildred Wagner.
The funeral Mass at 10am on Thursday Oct 31 in St. Edwards Catholic church 3004 11th St, with the Fr. Schuessler officiating. Burial will be at Gethsimanee Cemetery in Lansing, Iowa. Visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 Wednesday October 30 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 South Mulford Rd. with rosary at 7:00.
