Louise Y. Mokadam

Rockford- Louise Y. Mokadam, 84, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born July 3, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Sheldon and Clara (List) Yoerg. Graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors degree in Music and went on to marry her loving husband of 58 years, Dr. Raghunath Mokadam. Louise was a devoted Jehovah's Witness and mother of four. She loved art and classical music and was an accomplished musician who played the piano, violin and flute. She was a kind and caring woman who loved her family dearly, she will be missed by all. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Raghunath Mokadam of Rockford; children, Anjani (Craig) Milkert of Maple Plain, MN., Dinkar (Kim) Mokadam of Washington DC., Anita (Eyvind) Sorhaug of Stavanger, Norway and Diwakar "Bon" (Chris) Mokadam of Hamburg, NY and nine beautiful grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. A time of remembrance and sharing to be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside chapel 3910 N.
