Louise Ann Mohr

April 23, 1934 — November 22, 2024

Rockford

Louise Ann Mohr, 90, passed away in Rockford, Illinois on November 22, 2024. She was born April 23, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter to Robert and Agnes (Curran) Parker. She went on to marry the love of her life, Thomas (Tom) Mohr, in Jackson, Michigan on September 10, 1955 and quickly set out to build their life together with family and friends. Her strong and generous nature made her not just a loving wife, mother and grandmother but a caring and supportive voice that her children and grandchildren regularly turned to. As the heart of her family, Louise created a warm and lively home filled with laughter, love, and countless memories. Her joyfulness and generosity extended to friendship as well, cultivating strong and supportive relationships throughout her lifetime. You could find her out with her walking group or hosting many get-togethers, turning each gathering into a celebration that brought everyone together. Louise's generosity extended to community and faith as well. She enjoyed her time at Rockford Country Club, Bel-Mar Country Club, and the University Club golfing, bowling, or playing cards with her many friends … often with a glass of wine or two. She equally took pride in her role as a missionary for Holy Family Catholic Church, a parishioner since 1973 and her involvement with Children’s Home and Aid Society, serving as past president, dedicating herself to causes that encompassed her loving spirit and strong sense of responsibility towards others.

She will be missed by those who loved her most – her husband of 69 years, Tom; her children Jeffrey Mohr, Laurie (Curt) Kleckler, and Phillip (Chris) Mohr; her grandchildren Mallory (Erich) Simmons, Allison (Nick Mudgett) Mohr, David (Amber) Kleckler, Abigail (Michael) McGarry, Maxwell (Morgan) Mohr, Maddelyn (Brian) Enriquez, and Peyton Mohr; her 8 great grandchildren; sister Sally Barker and 6 nieces and nephews. She took solace in knowing that she will see her beloved son, Andy Mohr, again in heaven, and will be met by her many family and friends including parents Robert and Agnes, her brother Jim, and some long-missed friends.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of memorial service, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107.
