Louis “Lou” A. Pace, 92, of Arlington Heights, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. He was born March 16, 1926, in DeKalb, Illinois, the son of Louis Pace and Matilda (Cozzoni) Pace. He was born and raised in Rockford, IL. Louis graduated from West High School class of 1944. He proudly served his country in World War II in the United States Navy. Louis married the love of his life, Rose Spataro, on November 23, 1947. He enjoyed golf and building model airplanes. Lou was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He had a great sense of humor and loved being around people. Most of all, Lou loved the time he spent with his family. He will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Survived by his daughters, Sandra Jacobs and Judy Pace; grandchildren, Jessica (Tom) Bez and Christopher Jacobs; great grandchildren, Alesio, Rhyanna, Jessie and Giorni; nephew, Phillip (Dianne) Giovingo; nieces, Carol (Gary) Dewall and Lucille Giovingo; sister-in-law, Gerrie Spataro and numerous great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Rose; brothers, John and Albert; sisters, Effie, Louise and Pearl. The family would like to thank Lovie Williams for his care and compassion for Louis.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St, Rockford, IL 61102. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass Friday December 14, 2018 at the church. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
