Lorraine Sachs

Lorraine Mary ( Behnisch ) Sachs, 85 of Rockford
was born February 1, 1926 in Madison, WI and passed away December 3, 2011 at her home.
The daughter of the late Erwin and Mary ( Kelly ) Behnisch.
She was a graduate of Marquette University College of Nursing in Milwaukee, WI.
Lorraine was employed as a nurse by Crusader Clinic amp; River Bluff Nursing Home.
She also volunteered at Holy Family Catholic Church and within the community.


Survivors include, her husband John M. Jack Sachs, 7 children, John E ( Janice Von
Arb ) Sachs
of Iowa, David ( Mary ) Sachs of Nevada, Paul ( Alva ) Sachs of California, Mary ( Scott ) Thompson of Kansas, Philip ( Mary ) Sachs of Minnesota, Ann Reno of Rockford, and Rita ( Timothy ) Coffman of Colorado, 18 grandchildren and 5+ greatgrandchildren, one sister Dorothy Krueger of WI . She was preceded in death by one brotherinlaw Alan Krueger and one soninlaw Carl Reno.

Visitation will be held on Friday December 9, 2011 from 9:30 am until the funeral mass at 11:00 am at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Andrew T. Mulcahey

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Lorraine Behnisch Sachs Nursing Scholarship at St. Ambrose University, Advancement Office, 518 W. Locust, Davenport, Ia. 52803 or Crusader Clinic, River Bluff Nursing Home Auxiliary, St. Elizabeths Community Center or Holy Family Church.
