Lori J. Vogeler

Lori Vogeler, 71, of Rockford, passed away on June 1, 2024. She was born on July 29, 1952, in Rochelle, IL, the daughter of Verlis and Eleanor (Bolthouse) Vogeler.

She grew up on a farm in Ashton, IL and completed her education at Illinois State University. After graduation, she moved to Rockford and worked for many years at both Sundstrand and Amcore Bank.

Lori enjoyed reading, listening to music, crocheting, playing cards, and watching Bear games. She also liked keeping up with a large number of cousins.

Lori is survived by her sister, Sandy (Jim) Woodhouse; her brother, Brian Vogeler; her uncles, William (Linda) Bolthouse, and Russell (Kathleen) Bolthouse; niece, Kim (Mike) Davis; and nephew, Jeff (Adrienne) Woodhouse; She is predeceased by her parents, Verlis and Eleanor.

The family would like to extend a thank you to her special friends, Kim and Terry Kline; and cousin, Donna Shaw. The family would also like to thank Bill and Linda Bolthouse and Russ and Kathy Bolthouse for the help, love, and friendship they gave to Lori.

A visitation for Lori will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 12:00 noon until time of memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Rockford IL, 61103. Burial is to follow at Monroe Center Cemetery in Monroe Center, IL. Memorials may be given to the family.
