Lori A Rother

Lori A. Rother, 62, passed away on December 7, 2024, in Rockford, Illinois. As her life gracefully unfurled, Lori's unwavering strength shone brightly. She faced the closing chapter of her life with serene dignity, passing peacefully in her home, surrounded by the presence of her devoted daughter, a final embrace of love. Lori was born on December 8, 1961, daughter to John and Kathleen (Gallo) Walling. Over the years, Lori made countless friends through her work at Ipsen, Oakview Restaurant, Sam's Pizza on Charles Street and Cincinnati Tool Steel. She had an undeniable love for the sun, often being found soaking it up wherever she could. She appreciated the beauty of nature and the serenity that the outdoors offered, especially at a beach. Additionally, her fondness for water was shared with her grandchildren, who adored spending time with her. These memories of joyful summers are treasures that will continue to reside within the hearts of her loved ones.

She is survived by her daughter Jessica (George) and son Bradley; her grandchildren Cameron, Payton, and Mason, Alexsya, Colten and their mother Brandy Jones; her partner Mr. Bill Benson; sister Vicki (Chuck) Kowalewski; brother Matthew (Teresa) Walling, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her parents John and Kathleen.

Memorial visitation to take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. until the time of memorial service, 6:30 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. A fellowship to follow at Sam’s Pizza, 2134 Charles St. Rockford, Illinois.
