Lorenzo Pedro Guzman

Lorenzo Pedro Guzman, 3 years old, Rockford, died on Sunday, July 15, 2007. Born August 8, 2003 in Rockford, son of Elisha Maldonado and Mario Eslora Guzman. He attended Sunday School at Faith Center and was to start pre-school in September. Lorenzo was a high spirited, energetic, loving young man. He adored Spider Man and had a passion for airplanes, baseball and dinosaurs. He enjoyed doing puzzles, using stickers and one of his favorite things was hanging out with Grandpa. Survivors include his parents, Elisha and Mario; maternal grandparents, Tina (Raul Flores) Lopez, Joey Villarreal and Johnny Ray Maldonado; paternal grandparents, Santos and Juanita Guzman; maternal great-grandparents, Pedro Lopez and Josephine Lopez; maternal great-great grandmother, Lucia Lopez; paternal great grandmother, Gloria Eslora; paternal great grandfather, Francisco Guzman; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much. Also survived by his godparents, Alexia Maldonado, Michael Guzman, Juan Luis Arreguin and Johanna Betran. Predeceased by his great grandfather, Frank Eslora; great grandmother, Josefina Guzman and great-great grandfather, Maximo Lopez. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Don Lyons officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
