Tripp, 87, former Rockford resident, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in Gilmer, Texas where she had resided since 2001.nbsp; Born June 4, 1923 in McDougal, AR, daughter of Asie and Myrtle Compton Porter.nbsp; Married Joe Tripp in St. Louis, MO in 1946.nbsp; Lois was a loving, woman who adored her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.nbsp;
Survivors include her son, Danny Joe (Carolyn) Tripp Gilmer, TX; grandchildren, Andrea Tripp, Kilgore, TX, Jennifer (Marvin Smith) Tripp, Metairie, LA. and Melinda (Robbie) Rouyer, Meterie, LA; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; sisters, Alma Crown, Henrietta (Jake) Baumgardner, Vona (Bill) Mitchell; brother, Olen (Joyce) Porter; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.nbsp; Predeceased by her husband on February 4, 2001, parents and her sisters, Mildred Green and Pauline Brown.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p-.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Pastor Alfred Hanna officiating.nbsp; Burial in Willwood Burial Park.nbsp; Visitation from 5-7 p.m. Monday and from noon until time of the service on Tuesday.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.nbsp; Express condolences and share memories at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
