Lois E. (Butler) Lawrence, 82, a lifelong resident of Rockford, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2010 due to complications from pulmonary fibrosis. Born January 2, 1928, she was the daughter of Myron E. and Viola L. Butler. After graduating from Rockford West High School in 1946 and comptometer school, Lois married her high school sweetheart Robert H. Lawrence on Aug. 2, 1947 (deceased Oct. 3, 1991). During her life she was employed as a comptometer operator at Sundstrand Hydraulics and later retired as bookkeeper and office manager from Daley Design amp; Mfg. She served on the Rockford Area PTA Council and YWCA Board of Directors, positions she thoroughly enjoyed and was so proud of. Her greatest love was her family. Lois will always be known for her love of little children and her enjoyment of baking, especially her infamous apple pies. Survivors include her daughters, Valerie (Joseph D.) Kordash and Lisa Lawrence, both of Rockford; granddaughter, Carrie Kordash (Chris) Kline, Rockford; grandson, Joseph R. lsquo;Joey Kordash (Sean Thomson), Chicago; great-grandchildren, Mckenzie and Jared Kline; brother-in-law, Donald Willett, Napa, CA and many special nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband; parents; sister, Marjorie Willett of Napa, CA; brother, William Butler of Fairfield, CA; sisters-in-law, Mary Longanecker of Jacksonville, IL and Julie Butler of Fairfield, CA. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00am - 9:45am Saturday in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Illinois Growth Enterprises, 7200 Clinton Rd., Loves Park, ILnbsp; 61111.
