Lloyd H. Kling Jr.

Lloyd H. Kling Jr., 92, of Rockford, passed away July 4, 2018 at Alden Debes Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. Born November 22, 1925 in Rockford; he was the son of Lloyd H. and Renata I. (Schumann) Kling Sr. He married Jane Hedlund on September 28, 1952 in Rockford.
Lloyd was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and he retired from Frito-Lay after more than 30 years of employment.
An avid Chicago Cubs fan, Lloyd enjoyed working in his yard and teaching his grandchildren how to fish. Loved by all the lives he touch, Lloyd was a gentle giant of a man who loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jane Kling; his children, Steve Kling, Janelle Widergren and Craig Carmack; grandchildren, Jason (Tracy) Widergren, Kaitlynn (David) Milvert and Kyle Kling; great-grandson, Caleb Widergren; brother-in-law, Charles Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Beverly Gray.

Memorial Service 1 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford. Visitation 12 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may given to Northern Illinois Hospice. Online condolences may be shared at www.fitzgeraldfh.com
