Lloyd G. Haddad, 93, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 19, 2021. He was born on January 27, 1928 in Rockford, Illinois son to Roger and Betty (Forzley) Haddad. Lloyd was a proud veteran, being in the Navy during World War II. Lloyd and Marilyn Bray wed on February 9 1952. He worked at Nehi Bottling Company for 40 years, retiring as a General Manager. In his free time Lloyd was an avid golfer, often being found at Sinnissippi Golf Course, avid slots player, cheering on the Chicago Bears and Cubs, or spending time with his beloved family and pets.
He will be survived by those who loved him most, his wife of 69 years, Marilyn; his children Rae Lynn Haddad, Kim (Bob) Marchione, Becky Haddad, and Mark (Shellie) Haddad; Grandchildren Bryan (Carina), Nicole, Jason (Jessie), Alexis (Chris), and Lindsay (Matt); his great grandchildren Anthony, Isabell, Christopher, Maxwell, Addison, Stuart, Dawsyn and Hadley; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by his parents and his siblings, Gloria, Raymond and Donna.
A private family service will take place for Lloyd with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pets for Vets or William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. A very heartfelt thank you to his private caregivers, Mary, Sandra, Mi, and Mamie.
