Linda J. Sherwood

Linda J. Sherwood died on March 29, 2024, after a long illness. Linda was born on November 27, 1948, in Belvidere, Illinois to parents Edward and Isabel Myers. She was the youngest of three children. Linda grew up in Cherry Valley, Illinois and attended Guilford High School. She went on to work for Singer Mental Health Center in Rockford for many years. 

Linda’s oldest sister Pat is deceased, as is Linda’s nephew Dan. She is survived by her brother Tony (Tina); her son Patrick (Connie), three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, Steve Horrocks her significant other and many friends. 

A celebration of life will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois on Saturday, May 11th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The family would also like to thank OSF St. Anthony Cancer Center for their care of Linda over the years.
