Linda S. Josephitis

Linda S. Josephitis, 62, Rockford, passed away in her home Tuesday, March 8, 2011, after a 2 year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.nbsp; She was born August 4, 1948, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Edward and Avis (Zimmerlee) Zanzinger.nbsp; Linda married Gene S. Josephitis in Rockford on June 13, 1970.nbsp; She worked as a parish secretary at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and previously at St. Edward Catholic Church.nbsp; She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister.
Survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Gene; children, Tom Josephitis of Rockford, John (Marie) Josephitis of Lake Bluff, Eugene Josephitis of Champaign, Stanley Josephitis of Pecatonica, Anna Josephitis of Rockford and Mary (Chris) DiGiovanni of Carol Stream; grandchildren, Michael, Rachael, Erin, Daniel, Andre, Karina, Celena, and Anthony Josephitis, Aidan Latchford, and Eliana DiGiovanni; sister, Judy (Scott Lyne) Zanzinger of Wind Lake, WI, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and brother, John Zanzinger.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Monday, March 14, 2011, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, Il 61102 with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 2:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 with a Rosary recited at 4:45pm.nbsp; Visitation from 9:00am until prayer time at 9:45am on Monday at the church.
