Linda M. Hansen

Linda M. Hansen, 63, lifelong Rockford resident, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in Swedish American Hospital. Born September 9, 1949, daughter of Maynard Wibom and Betty Bard Wibom. Graduated from Auburn High School in 1967 and married Lyle R. Hansen on July 15, 1967. She worked for Barnes Drill for 5 years before becoming a stay at home mom for their daughter, Alicia. She was actively involved in Gunsoles and Froberg schools with the PTO, as a crossing guard and lunch room aid. She was also involved with Brownie and Girl Scouts She was active with "Save The Land" , was appointed a Cherry Valley Township Trustee and was a Democratic Precint Committee Woman. She enjoyed her yard, cooking, cross stitch and sewing. She had a special love for the many pets she had through the years. Motown music, especially Barry White and Smoky Robinson were always favorites. Linda had a huge heart and was always concerned about helping make life better for everyone else. Survivors include her husband, Lyle; daughter, Alicia Miller; grandchildren Malia Miller and Brent Miller; parents, Betty Bredeson and Maynard (Marlene) Wibom; sisters, Sharon (Alan) Alonzo, Annie (Ross) Bredeson and Cheri (Steve) Johnson; brothersnlaw, Roger Hansen and Virgil (Dottie) Hansen.Predeceased by her grandparents, Einar and Sigrid Bard and Eric and Ada Wibom.A celebration of Lindas life will be held from 25 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the SM&SF Club, 1010 Sandy Hollow Rd.
