Linda Kay (Loy) Brasher, 61Loving Mother, Sister and Grandmother Linda Kay (Loy) Brasher, 61 departed this life to go home with the LORD on December 2, 2009 from a sudden illness. Born April 11, 1948 in Rockford, IL to Andrew and Doris Loy. Attended West High School and lived in the Rockford area all her life. Married Leamon Brasher on March 13, 1965. They were married for 32 years and had six daughters before he went to be with the LORD. She was a former member of Faith Tabernacle Church where she also worked as a cook in the daycare for 5 years. She is currently a member of Family of God Fellowship Church where she served as a Childrens Church teacher. Survived by her daughters; Debra (Brian) Vance, Leann (Chris) McQuality, Tina Brasher, Kimberly (Cristiano) Brasher, Brittany (Justin) Brasher and Judy (Daniel) Lantz. Grandchildren; Joshua, Ashley & Ryan Cross, Brianna McQuality, Tyler Brasher, Jacob, Justin, Jesse & Andrew Lantz, Gabriel Brasher, Deanna & Dominic Cabrera, Ciyenna Ramirez, Phoenix Lantz, Chase, Brandon, JR, Steven, Melissa & Stephanie Vance, Anthony, Shawn & Brooke Lantz, Lil Brittany. Great-grandson Ayden Cross. Brother Ronald Loy and sisters; Karen (Robert) Sundberg, June (John) Wren and Pamela (Dennis) Renner. Special Friends; Julie McFadden, John Cross, Ann and Sharon, numerous nieces and nephews. She will be especially missed by her 2 "special dogs" Babie and Bambi. Predeceased by husband Leamon, daughter Marcy, parents Andrew & Doris Loy, grandparents Andrew & Margerite Loy and Emit & Sylvia Loyd, sister in law Evelyn Loy, and her great-grandson Jayden Cross. She loved her family and the LORD with all of her heart and her greatest desire was for her family to accept the LORD so they will someday be together again in heaven. Life goes on for many others because of Lindas generous gift of donation-she donated a kidney to one of her daughters 15 years ago and has in her death-is passing the gift of many body donations to help others live life. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Road with Pastor Doug Gustafson officiating.
