Linda K. Lidbom

It is with our deepest sorrow to inform you of the sudden passing of Linda K. Lidbom, age 69, on December 12, 2016. She was born on July 18, 1947 at St. Anthony Medical Center and she graduated from West High School, Rockford, class of 1965. Linda retired from A1 Perfection where she was employed in the accounting and payroll department. Linda loved to cook and bake and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her cat, Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Margaruete A. (Schenk) Mejia and her brother, Robert Mejia. She is survived by her children, Derek (Elizabeth) Lidbom and Nicole Dombrowski; her longtime companion, Ed Swick; brother, Michael Mejia; sisters, Barbara Thomas and Marie Mejia; nephews Chad (Deb) Mejia, Ryan Mejia, Ben Mejia, Neil Mejia, Joseph Mejia, Jason Thomas; niece, Laura Thomas; grandchildren Connor, Genevieve, Leo and Maria.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held Wednesday, December 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Avenue, Loves Park, IL 61111. Burial at 12:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Garden, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with reception and lunch to follow at Rascals, 5223 Torque Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.
