Linda K. Fowler

Linda Kay Fowler, 67, of Merrimac, WI, passed away peacefully in the presence of family as she went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

Linda was born on February 5, 1954 in Belvidere, IL, daughter of Ralph Gorham and June (Heil) McLean. She graduated from Belvidere High School, Class of 1970. Linda married Patrick Fowler in Rockford, IL on September 29, 2001. He passed away November 28, 2011. Linda worked very hard to take care of her home and was a proud mother of her children. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards and woodworking in her free time. Linda was a member of St. Mary Health of the Sick Parish in Merrimac, WI and St. Rita Catholic Church in Rockford.

Surviving relatives include her children, Cheri (Randy) Wellman, Cyndi (José) Tejeda and Julie (Alan) McLain; grandchildren, Alexis, Zack, Megan (Andy), Bradley (Kendra), Scott, Rebecca, Tony, Logan and Micheal; great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Amelia, Charlotte, Adrien and Sean; siblings, Ralph Gorham, Carol Brothers and Cheryl (Paul) Block; numerous nieces and nephews. Linda is predeceased by her parents; husband, Patrick; sister, Joyce Gorham and grandchildren, Travis and David.

A walk-through visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, IL 61109. Those attending services must wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. The Funeral Mass may also be viewed via Zoom with ID code: 882-4767-4300 password: 123. Final resting place will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Linda’s name to the Poor Clares of Rockford.
