Lila Ruth Robinson

Lila Ruth Robinson, 88, Rockford, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Anam Care following a lengthy battle with Alzheimers Disease.
She was born March 6, 1923, in Rockford, the daughter of Carl and Amanda (Staven) Carlson.
Lila married William (Sonny) Robinson in Rockford on February 14, 1942.
She enjoyed bowling and golfing.
Lila was a former member of the Sandy Hollow 18 hole golf group for many years.

Survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Sonny; her daughters, Kay (Claude) Prentice of Rockford and Sally (Leslie) Seagren of Cherry Valley; grandchildren, Michele (Miles) Nielsen, Robert (Emily) Seagren and Michael Seagren; great grandchildren Milan and Sydney Nielsen and Josh and Ava Seagren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, her sister, Violet Thovalson and her brother, George Carlson.

Graveside services will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
