Leonard W. Condon

Leonard W. Condon, 76, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016. He was born and raised in Rockford, the son of Leonard and Miriam (Crowe) Condon. He attended Cathedral of St. Peter grade school, St. Thomas High School, and St. Mary’s College in Minnesota. At the age of 17, he met the love of his life, Judy Wilson, and the two married in Rockford years later. Leonard worked at the family business, Condon Brothers Seed Company, and later in sales for several insurance companies. He was an avid sports fan, particularly for the Bears, White Sox, and Notre Dame. Leonard was a generous and kind man, who will be missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Condon; his children, Joseph Condon, David (Anna) Condon, Charles (Brenda) Condon, and Jinny Condon; and 9 grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Timothy Condon.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial St. Mary/St. James Cemetery.
