Leonard A Arensdorf

Leonard A. Arensdorf, 73, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. He was born in Dubuque, Iowa on February 2, 1944; to parents, Leo and Joan (Faust) Arensdorf. Leonard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp, and went on to work for the Chrysler Corporation, retiring after 30 years in 1998. He was a member of the Eagles Club, he loved the Mets and the Rams, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by three children, Steve Arensdorf, Jody (Rob) Smith, and Kim Morales; grandchildren, Andrew, Kristen, Jeremy, Justen, John, Sidney, and Madeline; great grandchildren, Avery and Kingsten; 4 brothers and 4 sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Leonard is predeceased by his parents; son, James Arensdorf; granddaughter, Lucy Smith; brothers, Jimmy and Sam Arensdorf.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL; with a visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
