Leona H. Gaydos

Leona H. Gaydos of Rockford passed away Monday March 30, 2010 in Riverbluff. She was born November 10, 1927 in Gary IN, daughter of Edward and Edna Hogan. She came to Rockford in 1965 from Gary. She married Arthur Joseph Gaydos in Gary IN on June 26 1948"¦ She worked for many companies locally, including Highlander on Alpine, Dunkin Donuts on Alpine and Montgomery Ward. She was a member of St Rita Church and American Legion Carlson Post with her husband.Survivors include her 2 Daughters Cynthia (Richard) Hoover and Carol Snider both of Rockford. Grandchildren Sarah (Caleb Schoonhoven), Joshua (Rachel Strockbine), Peggy, James and David Hoover. Great-grandchildren Carol Ann, Jessica, Michael and Meghan. Great-great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Mia, and Aubrey. Her beloved grand-dogs Maggie Mae and Gracie Rose. Brother James(Betty) Hogan of Lake Placid, FL. Predeceased by her Parents, Husband Arthur, Son-in-law John Snider and Brothers Willis and Clarence Hogan Services at 10am Saturday April, 3, 2010 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 5-7pm Friday April 2 in the Mulford Chapel and also from 9am until time of service on Saturday.
