Lee Desanti

Lindo ""Lee"" DeSanti, 81 of Green Lake, WI, formerly of Rockford passed away peacefully, surrounded by is family, in Rockford on January 17th. Born April 19, 1927 in Rockford, the son of Tito DeSanti and Genevieve (Lavetti) DeSanti-Appoloni. He married the love of his life, Norma Grotto on September 16th, 1950 in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Rockford. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake, WI. He honorably served in the U.S. Army. Lee was stationed in Munich, Germany and served as a surgical technician during WWII, in the 98th General Hospital. Lee was destined to become a master craftsman in carpentry. He established Lee Construction of Rockford, IL where he worked until his retirement 23 years ago. Lee sustained many friendships throughout his personal and professional life. Over the years, Lee helped many people with their construction projects. He took great pride in caring for and perfecting his trade during his time as a master craftsman. After retiring Lee resided to Green Lake, WI where he continued his trade by constructing small projects and helping anyone who needed the knowledge or just a helping hand. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casnios and was an avid and accomplished golfer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He always was their to lend a hand to his friends and neighbors. Most of all he loved his wife, his family and many dear friends. Lee is survived by his wife Norma, daughters Victoria (Richard) Schobinger of Rockford, Kathleen (Robert) Haefele of Markesan, WI, and Linda DeSanti of Green Valley, AZ. Grandchildren Jay (Carla) Villani, Chad (Elizabeth) Bojarski, Kelly Schobinger, Tracey (Mike) Runyard, Reanna Roberts, Lauren Roberts, Chelsea Bojarski. Great-grandchildren Nicholas, Erika, Jada, Aaralyn, Genevieve,Blake and Hailey. Numerous loving nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Sisters Mary (Robert) Sandona and Frances (Ted) Paratore. Predeceased by his parents and sister Enis (Primo) Marzorati. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Steve DiSanti. Funeral Mass Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Franciscan Friars to officiate. Visitation, Tuesday January 20, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with a Rosary Service to be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at church from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
