Lavon M. Archer

LaVon M. Archer, 91, lifelong resident of Rockford, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018. Born March 23, 1927, daughter of Harold and Mabel Nyght. LaVon married Richard Archer on November 30, 1945.
She helped Richard operate a television repair business for 40 years.
LaVon was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She loved to cook and feed her family. She also enjoyed working in her garden and planting flowers.
LaVon was happiest when she was spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and we will miss her every day.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Stephen (Margaret) Archer; daughter, Sandra Rich (Jon Bates); grandchildren, Angela Winters, Diane Winters, Michael (Katie) Rich and Jacqueline (Jeremy) Fallis; great-grandchildren, Daniel Bowen, Carlie (Calvin) Parker, Laura Hoffman, Dominic Archer, Nicholas Rich, Wyatt Fallis, Jackson Rich, Sophia Fallis, Norah Fallis and Grayson Parker.
Predeceased by parents; husband, Richard and brother, Harris Nyght.
The Archer family would like to give special thanks to River Bluff Nursing Home Dove Neighborhood staff for all of the love and kindness they gave our mother and our family every day. We will always remember you!
