Laverne N Klaas

LaVerne N. Klaas, 86, of Rockford went home to be with his Lord on Friday, January 23, 2015.
He was born on June 12, 1928 in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Nelson and Elsie (Altenbern) Klaas. LaVerne married Clara Untersee on June 17, 1950. He worked in the insurance business and he thanked God for the blessings of his family. Survived by children; Arden Julius of Lena, Palmer (Janet) Klaas of Rockford, Craig (Jan) Klaas of Cherry Valley, Mary Joyner of Rockford, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife Clara on July 21, 2011; sister, Bernita Schultz; son-in-law, Leonard Julius. Private family service and burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Freeport, Illinois. Memorials may be made in LaVerne’s honor to First Evangelical Free Church, 2223 N.
