Laurie Jean Geddeis

Laurie Jean Geddeis (née Leach) ascended to Heaven at 78 years of age on Saturday July 23, 2016 due to complications following surgery. She was surrounded by her loving family as she began her final journey to be united with her parents and sister, Mary Rose Ringer, whom had preceded her to eternal life.

Laurie was born on January 6, 1938 in Hartford, WI to her parents, C. Stanley and Laurinda (Schaetzel) Leach. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1960. She married David R. Geddeis, Sr. in 1959. Laurie and Dave settled in Rockford, IL until recently when they moved to Western Washington to be closer to their youngest grandchildren. She dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband Dave; sons David Jr. (Vicki) of Roscoe, IL; Brian (Rebekka) of Wichita, KS; daughter Leanne (Andrew) Holes of Bothell, WA; brother John Leach of Naples, FL; and 7 grandchildren [Nicolette and Kendra (David Jr.), Ginger and Grant (Brian) and Wesley, Graysen and Ellianna (Leanne)].
