Larry S. Henning

Larry S. Hennning, 67, Rockford, Illinois, passed away at 8:20 p.m, Friday, June 26, 2020, in Saint Anthony Medical Center due to complications from the COVID-19.Born on November 25, 1952 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Homer S. Henning and Donna E. (Magnuson) Holets. Graduated from Pecatonica High School. As a proud Veteran, he served honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War. Attended Rock Valley College and graduated from Kishwaukee College with an Applied Science-Nursing degree. He worked as a Registered Nurse for the Rockford Health System and earned several Employee of the Month-Unit honors including multiple nominations for Employee of the Month for the entire Rockford Health System. He married the love of his life, Debra-Sue Webb in Durand, Illinois on July 21, 1990. He enjoyed being a member of the quartet, Hometown Harmony. He loved music. Whether it was singing in the choir, singing for family and friends, or just taking an hour picking up his guitar to jam. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, golfing, smoking cigars, watching his Cubs Win, reading, movies, and his pets.
Survived by his loving wife, Debra-Sue Henning; daughter, Julie (Bill) Behling; son, Michael (Erin) Henning; grandchildren, Neal Leonard, Jordan Behling, Mackenzie (Matthew) Camp, Elaine Peterson, Jaden Henning, and Paisley Henning; great-grandson, Isaac Leonard; brothers, Danny (Sandy) Henning and Jerry (Robin) Henning; sisters, Robin (Kirk) Anderson and Bobbi Holets; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grand-daughter, Tenley Henning; parents and step-father, George Holets; mother in law, M. Suzanne Cunningham; sister, Susan Walsh, and brother Terry Henning.
