Larry Paul Casey, 59, of Rockford began his eternal life on October 23, 2023, with his family by his side. Larry was born November 19, 1963, to James and Leona Casey. He attended Anna Page Park School and was employed for many years at The Center of Hope. Larry was a gold, silver, and bronze medalist in the Special Olympics, and was the life of any party he attended as he was extremely passionate about music and dancing. Larry loved to watch Soap Operas, the Chicago Cubs, and the Green Bay Packers. He treasured his large pencil collection. He truly loved life and all those in it.
He is survived by his sister Jeanelle (Melvin) Rill; nieces Julie Jardine, Calista (Joseph) Corbett, and Trisha Biley; great nieces and nephews, Ebony, Jamieann, Brady, and Dakota; great-great nieces and nephews, Addison, Avery, Londyn, and Brayden; and very special friend Michelle Panozzo. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother James Casey, and great niece Dominique.
The family would like to thank Dori Bonifacio along with all the staff past and present at Packard and Elmwood Heights Milestone, The Center of Hope past and present Staff, the Northern Illinois Hospice Team, and Illinois Special Olympics.
