Larry E. Jones

Lawrence “Larry” Jones, 61, of Davis Junction passed away Friday, September 8, 2017 peacefully in his home. He was born on December 22, 1955 in Rockford, the son of Ted and Margaret (Boogher) Jones. For many years he owned and operated AAA Tree Service, and later partnered in operating Jones Tree equipment. Larry was a gentle, soft spoken man with the kindest of hearts. Knowledgeable and hardworking, Larry enjoyed playing games, especially cards, and affectionately teasing those dear to him. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Penny Jones; his children, Lucas (Nicole) Jones, Michelle Jones, Bryan (Cecelia) Heath, Maskey Heath, and Beverly Heath; grandchildren, Danielle Doyle, Dustin Doyle, Tyler Heath, Tristan Heath, Thomas Heath, Nicole Heath, Collin Jones, Parker Jones, Isabelle Jones, and Austin Jones; great grandchildren, Tayvion Fortner, Ta’Veah Fortner, and Tamir Doyle; siblings, Teddy (Cindy) Jones, Robert (Pam) Shields, K.C. Jones, and Linda (Bruce) Petty; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and was a friend to all that knew him. Predeceased by his parents, sister, Sue (Bruce) Ahmer, brothers, Phillip (Jean) Jones and Danny Jones.
