Lance Corporal Timothy James Newcomer

Lance Corporal Timothy James Newcomer, 19, of Rockford died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Born May 18, 1990 in Rockford, the son of Richard C. Newcomer and Debra A. (DiLonardo) Newcomer. He was a United States Marine, 2 nd Battalion, 6 th Marine Regiment, 2 nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, serving as an Infantry Rifleman 0311, Gulf Company, 1 st Platoon. Timothy is survived by his parents, brothers Joseph, Edward, Thomas, William, Richard and James Newcomer. Sisters Holli and Mindy Newcomer, paternal grandmother Ruth (Robert) Coleman, maternal grandmother Dorothy DiLonardo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his sister Tina Marie Newcomer, great-grandmother Agnus St. Antoine and grandfather Maurice Newcomer. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rita Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday, December 28, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108.  Visitation will continue Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass in the church. Interment to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
