Rockford—La Doris (Dorey) Jean Heaslip, 83 of Rockford passed away peacefully in her home August 26, 2014 following a short illness. Born August 25, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois to Hugh and Blanche Farnham. La Doris was a loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her family will miss her loving smile, gentle spirit and wonderful cooking.
Survived by her husband of 62 years Roger; children; Jim (Pamela) Heaslip, Bob Heaslip, Chris (Darryl) Littleton, Brian (Polly) Heaslip, Tom (Mary) Heaslip, Mark Heaslip and Greg Heaslip; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents and sister Helen Marjorie Sainsbury..
Funeral Mass 10 am, Saturday, August 30, 2014 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford, Illinois. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
