Kristin M. Stockman

Kristin M. Stockman, 61, of Rockford passed away August 28, 2018 in her home. Born July 18, 1957 in Rockford the daughter of Basil & Merilee (Peila) Cascio. Graduated from East High School, class of 1975. Married Mark Stockman in Rockford on August 20, 1983. Member of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Kris was the matriarch of the family. Her tradition of family gatherings, especially on Easter and Thanksgiving was looked forward to all year. Kris was a quiet, beautiful person inside and out. She doted on all of her nieces and nephews and was a faithful volunteer at church. Kris will be missed for the numerous uplifting cards she would send to family and friends throughout the year. She was a spiritual yet private woman whose genuine presence touched the lives of all who met her. A special thanks to the City of Rockford and the Rockford Fire Department personnel that took great care of Kris.
She is survived by husband, Mark; siblings, Joseph (Paula) Cascio, David (Debra) Cascio, Stephen Cascio and Michael Cascio; cousin Joann Rossi; godfather Sam Cicero and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and godmother Joanne Sacco.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1010 Ferguson St, Rockford, IL 61102. Visitation from 5 – 7 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL with a rosary at 7 pm.
