Kirsten S. Jensen

Kirsten S. Jensen, 35, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 due to complications from Leukemia after a 2 ½ year battle. She was born on November 24, 1977 in Rockford, IL; daughter of Dan and Barb (Goryl) Jensen. Graduate of Jefferson high school, Class of 1995 and Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in business. She worked for American Group in Chandler, AZ. Kirsten loved the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Survived by her parents, Dan & Barb; sister, Julie Jensen of Chicago; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Ralph and Wauneta Jensen; maternal grandparents, Stanley and Dorothy Goryl; cousin, Randy Jensen and uncle, Joseph Rodriguez. Kirsten will forever be in our hearts.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford with Father John Evans officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Sunday, November 17 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford and from 10:00am until time of Mass on Sunday at the church.
