Kirk Mengelt 50 of Rockford, passed away Friday July 9, 2010 in his home, surrounded by his family.nbsp; Kirk was born December 14, 1959 in Benton, Kentucky.nbsp; He was the son of Paul and Mary Mengelt.nbsp; He married Mary Beth Gabel on August 22, 1981 .nbsp; He worked for Didier Greenhouse for 34 years.nbsp;

Survivors include his Wife Mary beth, children; Brandon, Kristen and Allison.nbsp; Two nephews; Mark and Dennis Mengelt, his sister-in-law Beth Bruder, mother amp; father in law Wayne amp; Betty Gabel, sister in laws: Gail amp; Denny Hutchins, Loretta DeGroat, Julia amp; Mike Cuccinelli, Brother in laws: Jack amp; Linda Gabel, Tom amp; June Gabel, Mark amp; Debbie Gabel, Bruce amp; Brenda Gabel, Mike Horsfallnbsp; Predeceased by his parents, his brother Kevin and Sister in law Barb Horsfall.

Memorial Service will be at 7pm Wednesday July 14 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 3910 N. Rockton Ave with Pastor Doug Bowden of Beth Eden United Methodist Church officiating.
