Kimberly D. Amann, 58, of Rockford passed away March 7, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. Born June 28, 1959 in Battle Creek, MI; she was the daughter of Mildern and Cora (Hilburn) Hearyman. She married her Best Friend, Gordon “Gordy” Amann August 22, 1987 in Chaseburg, WI. Born to this union are Kim’s two beautiful daughters, Danielle and Courtney Amann.
A 1977 graduate of Jefferson High School, Kim attended Rock Valley College and retired from the Rockford School District Food Service Department.
She was a very giving, caring and strong-willed person who loved all outdoor activities, music and traveling. Kim especially loved being with family and friends.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Gordy; daughters, Danielle and Courtney; sister, Sandra (Jeff) Thompson; brother, Milton (Ruth) Hearyman; and her very loved and spoiled Fur Baby, Sadie Lynn; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, James Allen Simpson.
Special thanks to all of the paramedics who safely transported Kim to St. Anthony Hospital, the nursing staff of St. Anthony Hospital, OSF In Home Nursing Care and Heartland Hospice. A very special thank you to CNA’s, Stephanie and Danielle and Nurse Amy.
Visitation 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford. Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park. Online condolences may be submitted at fitzgeraldfh.com.
