Kenneth Schaefer

Kenneth Schaefer, 85, of Cherry Valley passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Swedish American Hospital. Born February 22, 1932, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the son of Gerhardt H. and Bertha A. (Kunze) Schaefer. Ken was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. Ken married Diane J. Schultz on May 27, 1972 in Racine, Wisconsin. He was a self-employed Electronic Engineer. Ken attended New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church on Lyford Road. He was a member of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Club and an Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers life member.
Survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Amy Beth Schaefer and Leigh Ann (Andrew) Denny; granddaughter, Alexia; brother, Robert (Marilyn) Schaefer and sister, Karen (Rob) Altergott.
Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
