Kenneth L. Simons, 70 Machesney Park Kenneth L. Simons, 70 of Machesney Park died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at SwedishAmerican Hospital. He was born in Parkin, Arkansas, May 13, 1942 to L.C. and Eunice (Kirk) Simons. Served in the US Air Force. Married Sharon Foster, July 6, 1963 in Monroe Center. Retired from Ingersoll Milling Machine in 2002 after 22 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves 4 children, Dawn (Patrick) Nichols, Michael (Susan) Simons, Kenneth (Mary) Simons, and Kimberly (Richard Hammond) Simons. There are 7 grandchildren, Ashley (Timothy Boelk) Nichols, Christopher (Kristin) Nichols, Kayla (Eb Slouka) Simons, Adam (Jamie Vesta) Simons, Carla Franklin, Nicholas Pomering, Braden Hammond and 2 great grandchildren Jeremy Nichols and Samara Pomering. Stepsister Alita K (Tom) Dye Brother in laws and Sisters in law Lloyd Jr. (Deborah) Foster Richard (Shirley) Houser, Melvin (Deborah) Foster, Charles (Cindy) Foster and Stanley (Barbara) Foster, Aunt Minnie (Tom) King. Daughter, granddaughter and son not by birth, Louanne Klitzke, Amber (Matt) Lopez and Herman Crigler. And his cat, Diane Lynn. Predeceased by his mother, Eunice Schultz, father, L.C. Simons, Stepfather, Robert Schultz, Mother and father in law, Lloyd and Bertha Foster, brother in law and sister in law William and Sandra Drewery and brother in law Stephen Foster. Memorial Visitation Tuesday, January 8, 2013 4 to 6 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory) Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Road followed by a brief service at 6 p.m.
