Kenneth ?Ken Darrell Fell, 79, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, March 9 in SwedishAmerican Hospital surrounded by his loving family.nbsp;Born on February 17, 1931 in Sycamore, IL; the son of Glenn and Mildred (Ferris) Fell. Ken served in the US Army as a corporal from 1951 1953 during the Korean Conflict. Married Ruth Ann Kingsbury on July 10, 1953 in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was a machinist in Rockford at Drop Forge and Greenlee Tool, retiring October 10, 1989. Ken was a member of Kishwaukee Presbyterian Church a lifetime member of VFW in Rochelle and American Legion in Stillman Valley. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking. Ken was also an avid Cubs fan. Ken loved his children and said each of them was his No.1.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; children, Diane Harris of Montgomery, TX, Doug (Autumn) Fell of Rockford, Debra Morlen of Rockford, Dawn (Rick) Reed of Crowley, TX and Denise (Dan) Moser of Rockford; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Bill) Byes of Stillman Valley, Elaine (Tom) Dyal of Lebanon, MO and Brenda (Andy) Anderson of Chetek, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; his parrot Chocko and parakeet, Penni. Predeceased by his parents; daughter, Darcy Jo; 6 brothers; 1 sister; son-in-law, Tom Harris and his little canine friend, Toby.
