Kenneth Wayne Cunningham

Kenneth “Ken” W. Cunningham, 80, of Rockford, passed away on September 12, 2024. He was born on February 27, 1944, in Sheffield, Alabama, the son of Paul and Fannie Belle (Duncan) Cunningham. Ken graduated from West High School, class of 1962. He married Barbara “Barb” J. Hammond on April 25, 1964, and was blessed with 60 years of marriage. Ken worked in the auto upholstery industry for 50 plus years. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing poker and fishing in Hayward, Wisconsin with his family. Ken was a rabid fan of the New York Yankees. He had a passion for gardening, especially tomatoes and hot peppers. He liked watching and feeding the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. 

Ken is survived by those who loved him most, wife, Barb; children, Sheldon (Teresa), Shannon (Jon), and Sean (Katy); grandchildren, Krystal, Alison, Erin, Brian, Liam, and Jackson; stepbrother, Marvin “Dale” Taylor; and cat, Sugar. He is predeceased by his parents and granddaughter, Bethany.
