Kenneth C. Peterson, 67 AKA: K.P-Judge-Governor Kenneth C. Peterson, 67 of Rockford passed this life of Tuesday, May 6, 2008 in the home of his son and daughter-in-law, with his son, Michael by his side.  Born August 17, 1940 in Poplar Grove the son of Kenneth and Mable (Barber) Peterson.  Was  a 1958 graduate of North Boone High School and entered in the United States Air Force. Married  the late Sharilynn Huber in Las Vegas in 1979.  Kenneth is a retired truck driver for Consolidated Freightways. He was a former member of Ducks Unlimited and a retired Teamster Local Union 722. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, was and avid sports fan who enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs and NBA basketball. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center and  Sue Frickie.  Survivors include his son, Michael (Melissa) Peterson of Winnebago; step children, Deborah Malone of La Crescent, MN and Jonathan Malone of WI; special granddaughters, Shawna (Anthony) Mirabile and Bridget Malone; additional grandchildren, Michael 'Mikey' Peterson, Mackenzie and Mikhaila Malone; great granddaughter, Samira Vidales; brother, Wayne (Nancy) Peterson of Caledonia; sisters, Ann (Joe) Miller of South Beloit and Kaye (Don) Joyce of Fort Meyers, FL and several nieces and nephews and many dear and special life long friends. Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sharilynn in 1996.    A time of remembrance and visitation will be held on Monday, May 12, 2008 from 1-2 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd.  Full military honors will be presented at 2 p.m.
