Kenneth A. Miller, 93
Rockford -Kenneth A. Miller, 93, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born January 20, 1922, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Albert & Leonarda (Studer) Miller. Graduated Cathedral Latin High School in 1940 and attended John Carroll University. He served his country during WWII, Pacific Theater, in the US Marines Corps. Married the love of his life Lillian Waldron, in Cleveland OH, on February 8, 1947. They just celebrated their 68 year anniversary. The family moved to Rockford in August of 1972, coming from Euclid, OH. He retired from Sundstrand Corporation where he worked as a pricing analyst for 15 years. He was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. He was an avid reader and sports fan. During his free time he enjoyed golfing, traveling, wood working, but most of all loved spending time with his family and grandkids.
He is survived by wife Lillian; daughters Jan (Mark) Schultz, Connie (Glenn) Schlarb, Sue (Kevin) Fowler, and Peggy (Roger) Bergstrom; grandchildren Aubrey, Marik, Dan, Katie, Erin, Andrew, Karly, Allee, Emma, Hanna, Luke and Jake, and 5 great grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, brother Allen Miller and sister Florine Domitor.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111 with a visitation from 10 a.m until time of mass.
