Kendall Blaine Young

Kendall Blaine Young, PhD Kendall Blaine Young, 61, of Buford, Georgia, formerly of Rockford, died on January 20, 2009 while on a business trip in London, UK. Kendall was born January 3, 1948 in Centralia, Illinois, the son of Henry and Laura (Garrett) Young. Kendall married Jessica Jones on August 5, 1988 in Rockford. Kendall was a mathematician and physicist and a Quality Assurance consultant. He served as a navigator on the B1 Bomber in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam Era. His unfulfilled lifes ambition was to make a significant contribution to the body of knowledge with respect to the Unified Field Theory. He was an avid chess player and reader, primarily of philosophy and non-fiction; enjoyed the outdoors, especially swimming and running; and was always "game" for competitive sports, mostly basketball. Kendall is survived by his wife, Jessica; his mother, Laura Young, now 93; children, Blaine Warren (Betsy) Young, Mark Gregory (JoAnn) Young and Darcy Lynne Young (fianca©, Frank Azzaretto step-son, Michael (Rebecca) Eubanks; grandchildren, Jessica, Savannah, Michael, Katie, Samantha and Dakota; brothers, Henry (Sylvia) Young and Randall Young (identical twin sisters, Sharon Stroeh and Beverly (Bob) Wendorf; brother-in-law, George Lutz and many nieces and nephews. Kendall was predeceased by his father, Henry; his sisters, Everil Young, Muriel Huckleberry and Debbie Lutz and his brother-in-law, Lyle Stroeh. Funeral services for Kendall will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., with John Clements, an Elder of one of Jehovahs Witnesses, officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Family and friends may
