Kenneth Markley, of Rockford, son of Dean and Sylvia Markley, was born February 18, 1986. He passed on Saturday, April 15, 2017. His family includes sister, Michelle Markley; grandmothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, many more relatives and friends, predeceased by his brother, Philip Markley. Ken had an imaginative mind, and was a dedicated affiliate to the video game culture, leading to the creation of his own super hero, Falkenheart, in which he was very proud. Words were first and foremost, in any language, his finest super power of all. Also, a born romantic, Ken had a strong desire for love, and had dreams of candlelight dinners with the perfect date. Ken had a profound passion and appreciation for music, that grew each and every day. Ken supported the right to express ones self, as he too did so. Ken always had a song that could say just the right thing, for every occasion, and for everyone. Ken was a great best friend, an amazing big brother, and an even more wonderful son. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy could never take away from how remarkable, and unforgettable of a person he was, and will always remain to be.
Ken’s visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 with a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Please honor Ken by wearing formal attire or something red or black, his favorite colors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the family for a fund to be established at a later date.
