Keith Edward Mcalhaney

Keith Edward McAlhaney, 75, Poplar Grove, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born January 11, 1941, in Berne, Indiana, the son of Ralph and Wava (Holloway) McAlhaney. He has lived in Poplar Grove for 16 years, coming from Park Ridge. Keith was a veteran of the Air Force. He married Betty Roslyn in Chicago on November 19, 1966. Keith was an accountant for many years most recently in the insurance area. He was a long time member of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church and most recently attended Grace United Methodist Church in Rockford.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty; his son Kevin, (Lisa) McAlhaney of Rolling Meadows; his daughter, Kristen (Michael) O’Donnell of Poplar Grove; his grandchildren, Erin and Ryan McAlhaney, and Julie and John O’Donnell; his sister, Ruth Ann Monroe of Bluffton, IN and his brother, Leland McAlhaney of Monroe, IN; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; his brother-in-law, Dennis Monroe and his sister-in-law, Janet McAlhaney.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, 1903 E. Euclid Av, Arlington Heights. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to Arlington Heights UMC or to Grace UMC. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family.
