Kay Olson

Kay F. Olson, 65, of Winnebago, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family. Born April 5, 1950 in Rockford the daughter of Michael and Elsie (Dill) Prelopski. Married to her loving husband Roger Olson and together they owned Olson Tree Service. Kay was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church and a longtime member of the Eagles Club. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and cherished her time spent with her family and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to VNA Hospice for their support and to all the family and friends who visited while she was ill.
Survivors include her children, Mike Olson. Gary and Michelle Olson. Grandchildren Logan and Sawyer Olson. Brother Richard Prelospski and companion, John Brake. Many loved Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Elsie Prelospski. Her husband Roger Olson. Sisters Shirley Judd, Donna Peterson, Sandy Thomas.
Funeral service Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 7007 Flora Rd, Rockford with Pastor Terry L. Pergl officiating. Interment will be held in Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. and continues on Friday at church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
