Cherry Valley – Kay F. Eagleson, 73, of Cherry Valley passed away at 2:15 pm Friday, June 13 in her home. Kay was born August 13, 1940 in Rockford the daughter of Charles & Ethel (Mutimer) Hollenbeck. Graduated West High School. She worked for the Rockford Police department, before marrying her love Dennis Eagleson on August 13, 1971 in Belvidere. After raising her children she returned to work with the Cherry Valley Police force serving over twenty five years. Member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Kay enjoyed word search, knitting, crocheting and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include husband Dennis; daughter Cheri Eagleson; son Ty (Tricia) Eagleson; grandchildren Jacob Jenkins, Jordyn Jenkins, and McCray Eagleson; Brothers Bruce Hollenbeck and Dale (Connie) Hollenbeck; brother-in-law Scott Bearrows; Numerous niece, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by parents and two sisters- in- law.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL., with the Rev. Janet Wold officiating. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 pm and Friday from 9 am until time of service. Memorial may be made to the family for a memorial to be established.
